Beatrice Patricia Pierson, 87 of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2021. A first class "Diva," Beatrice loved to play games, most notably Scrabble and Backgammon. Although she was the staunch disciplinarian of the family, her wisdom, counseling and immense love for her family will truly be missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Pierson; sons, Infant Victor McCoy and James William Parker; sisters, Anna Wilson and Vonijean Perkins; brother, James William Parker; and great-grandson, Zayden McCoy.
Left to cherish her precious memories are her sons, Pastor Anthony Ray Coleman, Sr. (Brenda), Peter Parker, Maurice D. McCoy, Sr. (Pamala), Marcus McCoy (Rhonda) and Rubin McCoy; daughters, Ida Johnson (Dennis), Agnes Pierson and Monica Richardson; foster sons, Joseph Alvies and Paul Alvies; 22 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other extended relatives and friends.
Celebration of life service will be held at Noon on Saturday, July 10, 2021 in Bethel Family Worship Center, 24 S Lynhurst Drive, with visitation there from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment: Crown Hill Cemetery.
