Barbara "Bobbie" Rose Barton

Barbara "Bobbie" Rose Barton, age 78, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023. Barbara was born October 24, 1944 in Indianapolis to Willard and Edith (Dotson) Pace. She graduated from St. Rose Academy in Vincennes, Indiana. Barbara married Neil D. Barton on October 27, 1962.

Barbara was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Neil and Bobbie ran American Family Insurance in Broad Ripple together for 42 years. Barbara enjoyed golfing and her and her husband went on many golfing trips together. She loved to cook for her family and all holidays were hosted by Barbara and Neil. Barbara passed on many family traditions to her grandkids and great grandkids.

Barbara is survived by her children, Marjorie Barton, Deanna Barton and Neil D. Barton Jr.; grandchildren, Brian (Courtney) Schultz, Racheal (Joe) Coffman, Ashley (Chris) McDonald, Emily (TJ) Voorhies and Samuel Smith; and great grandchildren, Devon Ooley, Brooke, Natalie, Hayden and Kate Coffman, Amelia, Myles, and Harvey McDonald, Waylon and Fender Voorhies; and siblings, Jo Ann Clark and Frank (Jeanne) Pace. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Neil D. Barton Sr; parents, Willard and Edith Pace; and brothers, Everett Pace, Jay Pace, Paul Pace and Phillip Pace.

A visitation for Barbara will take place on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5884 Crittenden Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46220. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11:00 am. A meal will follow the Mass at Knights of Columbus (Northside Events), 2100 E 71st St, Indianapolis, IN 46220.

Barbara will be laid to rest next to her husband, Neil, at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery at a later date.
