David was predeceased by his parents John and Mary Gruber; in-laws Robert and Eleanor Irving and sister-in-law Iris Irving.
He is survived by his wife Joan; sons Cori and Todd (Holli); granddaughters Emily and Avery Gruber; brother-in-law Glenn Irving; niece Shaune (Jason) Marchlater and family and numerous cousins and uncles.
David worked at the PFRA Shelterbelt Center for 35 years. He was an Elk member and a hockey coach. He would volunteer whenever asked and enjoyed curling, golfing and the Saskatchewan Roughriders!
A family graveside service was held on Friday, December 18, 2020 in the Indian Head Cemetery, Indian Head, SK. by Rev. Francis Hengen.
