On January 22, 2024 the world became a lesser place with the passing of Betty Anne Williamson in Indian Head, Saskatchewan. Betty Anne was born in Belleville, Ontario to Bessie and Charles Heaslip during WWll while her father was serving in the RCAF. Betty Anne was the eldest of five children and grew up in the Sunny Slope District, north of Indian Head.
She was predeceased by her parents; sister Bonnie; brother Gerry; in-laws Joe and Vivian Williamson and sister-in-law Jo Anne Anderson (Brooklyn).
Betty Anne leaves behind her husband of 59 years, Barnet Williamson; daughters: Denice (Richard Escott) Kylie, Logan; Verna, Matthew; sons: Shaun (Bobbi Jo) Jaron, Clay, Bailey; Garnet (Lindsey) Matt, Robert; Paul (Kimberly) Nicholas, Wiley, Kayle, Kyle, Karson; sisters: Brenda (Glenn Hymers) and Pat (Bob McNeill); sisters-in-law Val Heaslip and Judy (Peter Woidyla); brother-in-law Donald (Judy) Williamson as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Betty Anne was extremely active in the community, serving on numerous boards, especially the United Church and the Royal Canadian Legion.
The funeral took place in the St. Andrew's United Church, Indian Head on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Koshy David officiating. Lunch followed in the C E Centre.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Indian Head Hospital and Allan Blair Cancer Clinic for the exceptional care Betty Anne received.
