Patricia M. Smith

Patricia was born November 9, 1954 in Johnson City, NY. She moved to the Independence area as a child and would spend her adult life here. She graduated from Fort Osage High School in 1972. She went on to achieve her nursing degree, working as a Registered Nurse at numerous nursing homes, including Glennon Place Senior Living, in Northeast Kansas City, where she was at one time, the director of nursing. She also worked for MCI (Medical Center of Independence) before it became CenterPoint. Patty's father, Les, married her and her husband, Rocky Smith on July 21, 1985 in Independence, MO. Patty and Rocky had a lake house down by Pomme de Terre, where she often liked to get away to. She was an avid Barbie doll collector, having collected over 1200 dolls in her lifetime.

Patty is preceded in death by her mother Pauline Riley and brother James Riley. Survivors include her father Leslie "Les" Riley; husband Rocky Smith; brother Karl Riley and wife, Carol; sister Ruth Schoffstall and husband, Ralph; and brother Bruce Riley; niece April Martin and husband, Robert and four additional nieces and nephews.
