John L. Michael

John L. Michael, 71, of Warsaw passed away on April 2, 2018. John was born on September 19, 1946, in Kansas City, MO., to Robert and Marie Michael. He lived most of his life in Independence, MO., until he retired to Lake of the Ozarks.

He served in the U.S. Navy from January 1966 until January 1972. He was an active member of the VFW post 2559, Elks Lodge 2783, and American Legion 0217. John enjoyed fishing, grilling, classic country music, dancing, and entertaining family and friends.

John was proceeded in death by his parents; sister, Roberta Boyer; and brother, Ronald Michael.

John is survived by his wife Brenda of 27 years; daughters, Janet Pavlovsky, Dawn Duffett and her husband, Breck; sister Pam Ratliff and her husband, Jack; sister-in-law, Judy Michael; and grandchildren, John, Landon, Kalena, and Jaelyn.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association.
