Robert Edward Chaisson, 96, a resident of Hyannis since 1989, died peacefully on January 7, 2022. He was the husband of the late Lois M. (Kittredge) Chaisson.
Born in Springfield, MA, Robert was raised in CT. Although he was unable to serve in the military due to cardiac issues, Robert had great respect for those that did serve and worked as a civilian at the Springfield Armory. He was employed as a machinist at the W.R. Grace Company in Agawam. He married Lois in 1952 and enjoyed wonderful years together until her passing in 2019. Robert enjoyed woodworking and metal detecting.
Robert is survived by his children, Jeffrey Chaisson, Gary Chaisson, and Susan Benedon; his grandchildren, Ceanna, Trotter, and Delaney; and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by siblings, John Chaisson, Leonard Chaisson, Richard Chaisson, Lillian Provost, and Madeline Pruny.
Services will be private. Donations may be made to a charity of one’s own choosing.
