Maureen Elizabeth Sylvester

Cedar Park, TX - Maureen (Carlsen) Sylvester 64 passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 with family by her side. She was born in Winchester, MA raised in Andover spending most of her life on Cape Cod, before her recent move to Texas. She is survived by her children Laura-Lee and husband Jeff Fenuccio of Sutton, Ronald and Tracy Sylvester of Texas, Jason and wife Michelle Sylvester of Springfield, Jamie Sylvester of Texas brother George Carlsen of Colorado, sister Jane and husband Peter Johnson of Cotuit, her nephew and 14 grandchildren. She was a graduate of Suffolk University. Lovingly know as Nana by all, she was adored by everyone and made friends everywhere. She had a passion for sewing and art; she loved animals.

Nana enjoyed playing Bingo and was actively involved in her community and volunteering her time to various organizations: past President of Ladies Dennis F. Thomas Auxiliary 2578 VFW in Hyannis, NESAA Animal Shelter, Cooties veterans organization to name a few. She was a certified clown and volunteered her time at local hospitals to cheer up children. She loved her family and making people smile. She had an incredible sense of humor, loved to laugh and always was there for family and friends. She will be missed dearly.Private graveside service will be held in Mosswood Cemetery, Cotuit at the convenience of the family.
