Joan Marie (Echteler) Melvin, age 88, of Dedham, entered into the Peace of Christ on August 26,2022, Beloved wife of the late Lt. Col. Michael A. Melvin. Beloved mother of Patricia, Michael, Clare Hughes & her husband Chris, John and his wife Maria Serio-Melvin, Katherine Fitzsimmons and Deirdre. Beloved grandmother of Erik Melvin, Scott Hughes, Michael Melvin, Shannon Hughes, Patrick Melvin and Samantha Melvin. Beloved “Ma Mel” of Brian Falvey and Loretta Herman. Greatly missed by family and friends.
Visitation at Our Lady of Victory Church, 230 S Main St. Centerville, MA 02632 on Tuesday, Sept. 13 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment at 1:15 at Bourne National Cemetery, Connery Ave. Bourne, MA 02532.
