Diana Gail (Heaney) Denham, 70, of Framingham/Brewster passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021 surrounded by all those she held dear. She was born March 10, 1951 in Natick to the late James and Elizabeth Heaney.
A graduate of Wellesley High School, attended MassBay Community College where she received the National Who’s Who College Award and later went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree from Springfield College. Diana was a proud member of The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Passionately dedicating years of her life to teaching people the fundamentals of aquatic safety through The Boy Scouts of America and the YMCA.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, James Denham: four children, Jay Denham and wife Katy, Chrissy Sherlock and husband Jay, Matt Denham and wife Kaitlin, Danielle Lewko and husband Jake. She will be missed by her seven grandchildren; Jimmy, Maeve, Norah, Arya, Bo, Logan and Lennox who she loved with all her heart.
Also surviving is her sister Marilyn Joyce and husband Kevin as well as her brother James Heaney and wife Marian along with all of her wonderful nieces and nephews.
Her children can attest to the fact that she had the patience of a saint. Diana was always supportive and encouraging, always wise and kind. Her adventurous spirit and humor will be missed terribly by everyone who knew her. She will be remembered in the hearts of her loved ones as a selfless wife and mother who always had a smile and a helping hand to offer.
The family has decided to hold a private service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, celebrate Diana’s life by donating to Harbor Point at Centerville. Without their caregivers’ love, empathy and support for her final days, the family would not have had the peaceful experience that they did. For that, they are forever grateful.
