HYANNIS - Carol A Grant, 76, died peacefully with family by her side, on November 9, 2018. She was the wife of the late John E. Grant, with whom she celebrated 55 years of marriage until his passing in June.
Born in Cambridge on April 25, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Bessie Loder.
Carol spent her career working in sales for various companies.
Carol’s first dedication and love was to her husband John and family, always enjoying the gatherings and celebrations with everyone. She was also a strong supporter of the Aleppo Shrine, when John her husband became the potentate for the Aleppo Shrine in Wilmington MA she accompanied him as his lady on visits throughout the States and Canada.
Carol is survived and will be deeply missed by her two children, Cheryl Cavaco and her husband Joseph, and John E. Grant III and his wife Becky; four grandchildren, Samantha, Anthony, Nina, and Garrett; two great grandchildren, Joey and Kobi; two brothers, Alan and Fred Loder; and two sisters, Elizabeth LeBlanc and Ruth McKinley; as well as a dear friend, Barbara Cavaco.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Florence Loder, Alice Mercier, Ethel Connearney, and Arthur Loder.
Family and Friends are invited to remember Carol’s life, Tuesday, November 27th from 4 to 8 p.m. at Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 W. Main St, Hyannis. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 28th at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 3055 Main St. Barnstable. Burial will take place immediately following the service at MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
