Alfred “Al” Houle was born on January 12, 1941 and graced this earth until August 21, 2024. Al was married to the love of his life Duane Houle for 62 years. Together they raised a beautiful family of 3 children: Sean, Heather and Timothy. From there, we celebrate Grandchildren and great Grandchildren. Our hearts are broken and we will miss our Husband, Father, Grandfather and great Grandfather dearly. Al loved Old Cape Cod and with the touch from Saint Joseph and a hammer in his hand, Al build beautiful homes across the Cape. The good lord gave Al a special gift of working with his hands, which he passed on to his children as they worked with Al from the time they could pick up a hammer. Favorite memories from his wife Duane include walks along Cape Cod beaches, gifts of flowers on Friday nights, dancing together on Saturday nights, traveling to the Grand Canyon and special times spent with Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Some fond memories with the kids include going to the dump on Sundays, one of Al’s favorite chores. Sean’s oldest kids (Corey, Ashli, Sean and Tyler) enjoyed joining Grampy at the dump because they always knew they would stop for candy or treats. After the stroke, Al was blessed with kisses on the head from Aubrey, Rowan, Zoe and Tia. Al would always light up when he saw the kids come for a visit. Currently, Al and Duane have 6 great grandchildren with another on the way. Duane is grateful for 62 years of marriage and knows Al will watch over her until they meet again and dance their way through heaven across the Cape Cod sky. Thank you for celebrating Al’s life. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to the National Stroke Association or Habitat for Humanity.
