He was born in Charlotte, NC on 12/9/43 to parents W. W. Howard, Sr.
and Ruth Little Howard. He was a veteran, serving our country in the United States Air Force.
He later moved on to Huntsville, AL where he worked at Huntsville Hospital for 37
years as an IT Director.
He had a passion for bowling and was a member of several leagues. His bowling
family meant the world to him, as did his “Old Kronies” family at Huntsville Hospital!
He is survived by his sisters, Pat Erhart, (Charlotte, NC), Libby de Krafft (Simpsonville, SC)
and brother, Baxter Howard (Indian Trail, NC). He is also survived by his nieces, Kim,
Sheri, Leah, Renee and Stephanie and nephews, John and Nick and his great nieces
and nephews, whom he adored. He also so loved his childhood friend, Trez Boulware.
They have been and always will be forever friends.
His family would like to thank Dennis Skeen, Cathy Howard, Beverly Robinson,
Stana Hicks and Suzanne Hicklen for their loving devotion and friendship and the
staff at Huntsville Hospital and Hospice at Redstone Village for making his passing peaceful.
Bill’s memorial service will be at Valhalla Funeral Home, March 16th at 2:00pm.
We are welcoming anyone who would like to speak on his behalf to do so.
