Velma Gossage Strong, 92, of Huntsville passed from her earthly home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. .
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, brother, and her husband, Robert T. Strong, Jr. Survivors include twin sons, Robin Lee (Leora) of Huntsville and Roger Lynn (Anita) of Lindale, Texas, and her daughter Sharon Elaine Maxwell (Gerald) of Huntsville. She had five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home on October 14, 2023 at 10 a.m., preceded by visitation starting at 9 a.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
