Robert Sylvester Hall

Mr. Hall was born and lived most of his life in Michigan, coming to Alabama to live with family during his last difficult years.

Robert was known to friends and family as Bob and graduated from Buchanan High School in Michigan, then enlisted and served in the United States Air Force. Upon returning from service he helped his father farm, then married and took a job at National Standard producing wire for medical and industrial uses while raising his family.

Survivors include his widow Elizabeth Janelle, three sons; David Michael (married to Vickie) in Alabama, Daniel Martin (married to Kathy) in Texas, and Robert Scott (married to Kim) also in Texas. One sister, Mildred Sauser, in Michigan, also survives.

Mr. Hall has eight grandchildren; Erin, Heather, David, Ashley, Andrew, Matthew, Jerren & Heath. Also missing him will be 12 great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, two brothers, William Hall and James Hall, and three sisters, Ruby Morris, Betty Hemple, and Jean Frame preceded him in death.

Cremation has already taken place. Please join us for a visitation Sunday September 24, 2023 from 12:30-1:30pm followed by a service celebrating his life Sunday September 24, 2023 at 1:30pm, at Valhalla Funeral Home and Memory Gardens, 698 Winchester Road North East, Huntsville, Alabama 35811.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you please consider donating to Gentiva Hospice of Huntsville, AL who took outstanding care of Bob at the end, or your local hospice.
