Rachel B Green

She accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully and loved ministering in the Choir. She later joined First Seventh Day Adventist Church where she served as a Deaconess and loved serving in the Mission Ministry, ministering at the local nursing home facilities.

Rachel was born June 20, 1941 in rural Madison County, Alabama to Leo and Evelyn Banks (deceased).

She was married to Tommie Lee Green (deceased) and together they had five children, two deceased (Deborah Green and Tommie Lee Green, Jr.). She had eleven siblings with seven deceased: Leo Banks, Jr., Cecil Banks, Josh Banks, Nora Warren, Mattie Pearl Malone, Jean Banks, Geraldine Ratcliff.

She leaves to cherish her memory: three daughters: Sindy Moore (Earl), Sandra Daniel (Gerald), Sonya Jones; two granddaughters: Brittany Simpson and Faith Moore; one great granddaughter: Kalyice Simpson; three sisters: Octavia Arrington (Durrood), Evelyn Sales, Carolyn Sutton (James); one Brother: James Banks; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A graveside service for Rachel will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Valhalla Memory Gardens, 698 Winchester Rd Ne, Huntsville, Alabama 35811.
