Paulette Isrel passed away on December 2, 2022, after a year long illness. She was 84 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin C. Isrel; father, Paul Adcock; mother, Olphelia Holbrook; step-father, Horace Holbrook and brother, William “Billy” Adcock.
Paulette is survived by her three children, Clark Isrel, Stephanie Ellis and Gregory Isrel, two grandchildren, Jessica Ellis and Cody Ellis and brother Jerry Holbrook.
Paulette was born in Bostwick, Georgia and attended and gradated from Decatur High School. She worked for years as a secretary and bookkeeper at Life of Georgia and later on at United Insurance of America, Mutual of Omaha, Insurance Agent Tillman Williams and Hope Place.
Paulette was an avid bowler who bowled for decades in state tournaments, as well as local and traveling leagues throughout the Huntsville, Alabama area. She was elected President, Secretary and Treasurer of numerous leagues over the years and later in life, this was her true passion. That being said, Paulette had many other hobbies and interest including, but not limited to, traveling to attend plays and live performances, fishing, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, as well as relieving others of their money at the poker table.
You may visit with the family on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00pm in Valhalla’s Celebration Chapel.
