Muriel Dean White Browning passed away at the home of her daughter on October 31, 2023. She was born July 12, 1933 in Gadsden, Alabama, to Lewis Marion White and Emily Laverne Watts White. She was married to Donald Baxter Browning on November 11, 1950 for seventy years. She is survived by their three children, Donna Kay Allegood (Richard), Mark Allen Browning (Myra), and Robin Faye Edgerly (Eugene), and 10 grandchildren: Ben Allegood, Trent Allegood, Emily Eslick, Whitney Allegood, Dane Browning, Adam Browning, Jeremy Edgerly, Heather Tuck, Marcus Edgerly, and Eric Edgerly. Her posterity has been increased by 24 great grandchildren. Two sisters-in-law, Charlotte White and Wanda Dansby as well as many nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers, two sisters, and grandson, Nathan Browning.
Muriel was devoted to her family and attended many birthday celebrations, graduations, school programs, recitals, and sporting events to support them in their endeavors as long as she was able. After her retirement from Chrysler in 1991, she and Donald enjoyed traveling the country and visiting family. She took up oil painting and leaves beautiful paintings for her family to remember her by. In addition, she enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading her Bible each morning, and watching the children play in her backyard.
The Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 11:00am with visitation one hour before, at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel, 698 Winchester Rd Ne, Huntsville, Alabama 35811.
