MSG RET Minos J. Campbell Senior Minos J (Mike) Campbell went to be with the Lord on July 31st 2015 at the age of 86. Born to Lucia Thibodaux and George Washington Campbell, his parents and siblings are all deceased. He is survived by his lovely wife of 62 Years Peggy Campbell, their two sons (Michael) Minos J. Campbell (Kim), and David Lee Campbell (Lisa), 4 granddaughters, one grandson, one step- granddaughter, and two great grandchildren. He served in the United States Army from 1951-1978 and served in the Korean War. He was married to Peggy Winfree on June 26, 1953. Mike & Peggy’s 1st son Michael was born in 1954 and their 2nd son David was born in 1956. Mike was inducted to the USS KIDD Veterans Memorial Museum in Baton Rouge, LA and recently he received the Freedom Medal from the Premier of South Korea, this is considered their “Medal of Honor” in Korea. After retirement from the Army, Mike served as a volunteer for 25 years at the Red Cross Pharmacy at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. Funeral Services will be conducted by Brother Denis Cleveland. The Funeral Service will start at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, with visitation from 11:30-1:00 both at Valhalla Funeral Home in Huntsville, Al. A Masonic Service conducted by Hellion 1 Masonic Hall and a full Military Honor Burial will end the service. In lieu of sending flowers please send a donation to the Cahaba Shrine Temple Transportation Fund in Huntsville, Al and/or the Bethany Baptist Church in Huntsville Al.
