Michael David Henson, age 57, passed away peacefully at Huntsville Hospital on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 after battling a long illness. Mike, as he was affectionately known, was born in Orange, Texas on July 6, 1959, the son of the late David Henson (Jan. 14, 2016) and Nancy C. Henson. Mike leaves to cherish his precious memories his son, Michael S. Henson; mother, Nancy C. Henson; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy (Henson) and David Allen; brother and sister-in-law, Shaun and Mindy Henson; nieces, Brittney Henson and Kaylee McAllister; great niece, Jaclyn Gentle; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends Friday, June 9, 2017 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home, with the chapel service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Frankie Osmer and Rev. James Usher, officiating. Entombment will be private at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
