Margie Stewart Wampler

Margie Stewart Wampler, age 101, of Laceys Spring, Alabama passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023. Margie was born on February 23, 1922 in Huntsville, Alabama. She lived her entire life in Huntsville until she moved to Laceys Spring in 1988.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Lucillia Stewart; five brothers, Lawrence Stewart (Vilulla), Glen Stewart (Flora), Earl Stewart (Bessie), Harvey Stewart and James Stewart (Maggie Bell); three sisters, Mamie Satterfield (Jess), Florence Stewart, Mable LeVan (Louie); husband, William Cecil Wampler; son, Terrell Wampler; son-in-law, Henry (Jim) Davis; great-grandson, Zachary Breeding.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jacquelyne Davis; grandchildren, Scotty Davis (Melissa), Tony Davis (Karri), Chris Davis (Mandy) and Susan Williams (Matt). 11 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren.

Margie was a homemaker. She attended Bethlehem Baptist Church in Laceys Spring. She enjoyed attending church, crocheting and most of all being with her family and friends and talking on the phone.

A Visitation for Margie will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 11:00am until 12:30pm at Valhalla Funeral Home & Memory Gardens, 698 Winchester Rd Ne, Huntsville, Alabama 35811, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 12:30pm in Valhalla's Celebration Chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens in the Garden of Good Shepherd.
