Mae Willa Van Hooser, age 94, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. Mae was born on December 25, 1929.
Mae was a proud mother to four children, Jerry Wayne Perkins, Martha Mae Perkins, Billy Joe Perkins and Danny Gene Perkins. She had 8 brothers and two sisters, 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren along with a host of friends. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mae enjoyed cooking and canning vegetables, going out to eat - especially Red Lobster. She loved the Lord and read her Bible daily. She also enjoyed feeding the squirrels and birds in her backyard.
A visitation for Mae will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home & Memory Gardens, 698 Winchester Rd NE, Huntsville, Alabama 35811, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00pm.
