Lorraine Peterson Poland, 91, of Harvest, AL passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018. She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Ansil E. Poland; and her parents, Lawrence and Violet Johnson Peterson.
Mrs. Poland is survived by her daughter, Lizabeth Meador (Mike); son, Michael Poland (Debbie); three grandchildren, Jennifer Abernathy, Amanda Reed and Fletcher Poland; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler, Bailey and Kara Abernathy, Dallas and Grayson James, Asher Poland and Abby Young; one great-great grandchild, Maycee Abernathy.
Mrs. Poland loved painting, knitting and church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
You may visit with the family on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Frank Broyles, will begin at 2:00pm in Valhalla’s chapel. Interment will immediately follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
