Laverne S Moore

Laverne graduated from Buckhorn High School in New Market and began her life long career in the retail trade industry. She worked at K-Mart as a hosiery and infant wear manager. After K-Mart closed down; Laverne worked at "Yieldings", a women's clothing store until Yielding's closed down. She hired on at Silk Tree, a home decor store and was working there the first day the store opened and worked until the store closed its doors and she began her retirement.

Laverne is survived by her two sisters from New Market; Gail Hillis (Jerry), Janice Moore (Joe) and her loving husband of 45 years Rodney; Although Laverne and her husband had no children she is survived by her sisters and an innumerable host of nephews, nieces and cousins and friends.

A visitation for Laverne will be held Friday, January 6, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd Ne, Huntsville, Alabama 35811, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 AM with Rev. John Daniels officiating. Burial in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
