Julia "Judi" Yvonne (Bragg) Walters, 75, went home to be with the Lord July 23, 2021. Judi was a native of Huntsville, AL and grew up in the Lincoln Mill Village where she was the baby of nine children. She was a cheerleader at Butler High, and graduated in 1963. Her senior yearbook quote was: "Full of laughter, full of pep, never quiet, but that's her rep", and it fit her perfectly.
Married 53 years, Judi met her husband, Fred, while working at Brown Engineering. In the 1980s she was co-owner of Three Forks Electronics (TFE) with her husband, Fred, her sister, Margaret, and brother-in-law Billy Gaither. She worked for several companies over the years including Dynetics, Universal Data, and Photon. Judi loved spending time with her family, cornbread and buttermilk Thursdays with her sisters Margaret and Brenda, reading, Alabama football, and traveling.
Preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick Earl Walters; her father, Thomas Dozier Bragg; her mother, Mamie Lula (Cleveland) Bragg; two brothers: Nolan Bragg and Thomas Bragg; and four sisters: Juanita Bragg, Rachel Legg, Doris Philyaw, and Kathryn Landers.
Survived by her daughter, Sharon Saunders; her son, Jonathan Walters (Lyala); one grandchild, Eyn Ross; two sisters: Margaret Gaither and Brenda Dickens (Danny); and many nieces and nephews. No public visitation or service is planned.
