Joyce Selby Sharpe

Joyce Selby Sharpe, age 88, of New Market, Alabama passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023. Mrs. Sharpe retired from the Madison County Probate office after 32 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Sharpe, sister Inez Struble and great grandchild, Noah Sharpe. The family would like to express their appreciation to Mrs. Sharpe loving caregivers, Mattie Gaines, Dee Dee Bond, Kayla Armentrout and Ruby Mae Armentrout.

Joyce is survived by her children Charlene Gard and her husband Dennis, Tamara Hunter and her husband Elvie, Tabitha Counts and her husband Steve and Greg Sharpe and his wife Denita. Sisters, Lois Mullins, Vivian Selby, Juanita Miller, Carolyn Aycock and Connie Morris, and brother Larry Selby. 6 Grandchildren, Jessica Overcast, Austin Sharpe, Alyssa Gard, Colton Hunter, William Gard and Malayna Hunter. 3 great grandchildren Rylee Overcast, Mason Sharpe and Bryce Hale.

Visitation for Joyce will be held Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd Ne, Huntsville, Alabama 35811. Following the Visitation will be the celebration of life service at 1:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Fanning and Bishop Mattie Gaines officiating. Joyce will be laid to rest in Valhalla Memory Gardens, Huntsville, AL. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.valhallafunerals.com for the Sharpe family.
