Jimmy Glenn Crowell

Mr. Jimmy Glenn Crowell, 65, of New Market, AL went to be with the Lord on February 12, 2018. Jimmy was born in Fort Payne, AL on October 22, 1952. He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Rosser Crowell, his mother, Ruby Lee Myers Crowell, and his brothers, Charles Lee Crowell and Jerry Crowell and his son, Justin Glenn Crowell. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Irene Crowell, his sons, Chris Finney, Matt Crowell (Jennifer), his daughters, Merissa Crowell, and Kristy Lands (Ronny), seven grandchildren, Jordan Crowell, Emma Finney, Alyssa Crowell, Logan Finney, Brody Finney, Blake Lands, and Katelyn Lands, his brother, Kenneth “Bobo” Crowell, his sisters, Marilyn Goff, and Renee Connell, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jimmy loved his family dearly. He was a very protective husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Family meant so much to him. Jimmy earned his living as a truck driver. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, historical cars and guns, and bluegrass music. His passions included collecting coins, gardening, hunting and fishing, and tinkering on things. Jimmy will be greatly missed by many. No matter how hard life became for Jimmy, he never lost his sense of humor. He had a heart of gold and seeing his smile was sure to brighten your day.

Visitation will be 5-8pm on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Valhalla Funeral Home on Winchester Road, Huntsville, AL. Elder Linn Eubanks will be officiating his memorial service on Thursday, February 15, 2018 with visitation beginning at 10am and service to follow at 11am. Jimmy will be laid to rest at Rice Cemetery in New Market, AL immediately following the service.
