Barbara was born in Alameda, CA February 8,1944. She married Darrell Swoboda on March 19, 1992 in Fayetteville TN.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Sandra Vicknair, and a sister Carla Backman.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 30 years Darrell Swoboda, her children, Candice Tharp (Jim) of Wildwood, FL, son Kenneth Rhodes (Lynn) of Oil City, LA, son Richard Thompson (Christy) of New Market, AL, daughter Kimberly Thompson of Ponchatoula, LA, a sister Virginia St. Sauver, as well as 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Barbara will be held Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd Ne, Huntsville, Alabama 35811.
