Ms. Ashley Alexandra Kirkendall was the only child of Dr. Brenda Jones Kirkendall of Huntsville, Al and the late Mr. James Edward Kirkendall of Garry, Indiana. She was born September 15, 1984, in Houston, Texas where the family resided. She departed this life peacefully on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Madison Hospital, Madison, Alabama of natural causes. She was the granddaughter of Mrs. Lorene Lacey Crittenden (Phillip) and Mr. James A. Jones (Barbara). She grew up in a Christian home with her mother in Houston, Arlington and Duncanville, Texas; Augusta, Georgia; Huntsville and Madison, Alabama. At a young age she accepted Christ and was baptized at St. Joseph Catholic Church by Fr. Fred, where she said at that moment, "Oh My God". In her early years she was a member of the Girl Scouts of America and attended private schools in Augusta, Georgia and Huntsville, Alabama. In Junior High she attended Gables Academy, a boarding school in Stone Mountain, Georgia. She was exceptionally talented and excelled in ballet, tap, violin, volleyball, soccer, gymnastics, drama and poetry. She performed beautifully in several ballet recitals at the Von Braun Civic Center, Huntsville, Alabama. she graduated from Sparkman High School Harvest, Alabama, class of 2003. She attended Methodist College in Pulaski, Tennessee, as well as Calhoun Community College until severe complications from a gastric bypass surgery left her disable. She excelled as a nail technician, graphic artist and jewelry handi crafter. She touched so many lives and will be remembered mostly for her ability to love unconditionally, by going without in order to ensure that others were okay. Being around her, one would experience her exceptional intellect on any subject, as well as her keen sense of humor. She completely fulfilled God's purpose for her life and passed on a strong legacy for her family and friends to remember the power of love. and she will truly be missed. United States Airforce) Elvie Lacey Ft. Worth, Texas, twenty cousins; and fiancé; Nicholas Duane Wallace; and other relatives and friends. A communion for Ashley will be held Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St Matthew's Episcopal Church, 786 Hughes Rd, Madison, AL.
