Nancy L. Kline, 85 of Huntington County passed away on October 22, 2021 at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home. Nancy was a 1954 graduate of Union Township High School in Huntington County. After graduation she was employed by Majestic Corporation in the accounts and receivables department until leaving to raise her children. Nancy, Jerry and their boys were actively involved in the operations of their family farm, Kline Farms, Inc. She had a cake decorating business from their home for many years. After retirement, she once again was employed as a cake decorator at the Etna Avenue Dairy Queen for several years, owned by Neil and Melody Kline. She was a 70+ year’s member of Union Church and was actively involved in all its ministries including mission trips to Texas and Costa Rica and was the organist for several years. Nancy was actively involved in Youth for Christ, Campus Crusade for Christ, “By the Book” weekday religious classes and several other religious programs. Besides spending time with her grandchildren and enjoying their activities she enjoyed all kind of artwork including painting large murals for the church. Nancy also enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and flowers. She was an avid sports fan when her sons and grandchildren were involved. She traveled extensively and was fortunate enough to have visited all 50 states along with some foreign countries.
Nancy was born on July 1, 1936 in Elkhart, Indiana, the daughter of the late Eldon and Jeannette (Sale) Rogers.
She was united in marriage to Jerry F. Kline on September 12, 1954 at Union Church. Jerry preceded her in death on March 3, 2005.
Survivors include: three sons: Michael E. (Lori) Kline, Neil R. (Melody) Kline, Andrew C. (Candee) Kline all of Huntington; a daughter-in-law: Sandra Kline of Huntington; a brother: David A. (Lynn) Rogers of Bloomington IN; a sister: Penny A. (Michael) Collins of Grand Lodge Michigan; twelve grandchildren: Michael Kline, Matthew Kline, Shawdae (Blade) Armfield, Makenzie Kline, Hailee Kline, Ema Kline, Karson Kline, Bradley (April) Kline, Rhonda (William) Sylvester, Cassandra (Tyler) Cotton, Michelle ( Danile) Prus, Meghan (Nathan) McElhaney and 7 great grandchildren: Brina Smith, Caeden Crider, Dawson Cotton, Kolten Prus, Keagan Prus, Nolan McElhaney, and Macsan McElhaney.
Nancy was preceded by two sons: Martin J. Kline in 1958 and Brian D. Kline in 2011.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 27, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel located at 2901 Guilford St. Huntington Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday October 28 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Union Church with one hour of calling prior to the service.
Interment will be at the Union Cemetery in Huntington County.
