Linda Lou Kimmel Rodgers

Linda L. Rodgers, 71 of Huntington passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Linda had worked at E-Systems Memcor for many years; she later worked for Honeywell while living in Florida. Returning to Huntington in 1991 she worked at Bendix until her retirement in 2001. She enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren.

Linda was born on December 8, 1940 in Huntington, a daughter of Smith I. and Millicent (Clark) Pendleton.

Survivors include three sons: Steven (May) Rodgers of Huntington; Randy (Lisa) Rodgers of Huntington; Gary Rodgers of Huntington; three daughters: Sheila Leitner of Lakeland, FL; Debbie (Archie) Haney of Bippus; Teresa (Joe) Bradin of Huntington; eighteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son: Jeffrey Whitacre and a sister: Mary Manning.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 13, 2012 from 12:00 noon – 2:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Randy DuBois officiating.

Interment will take place at a later date at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
