Charles David Shaw

Charles David Shaw, 82 of Andrews passed away at 4:00 pm on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at his residence. Charles loved his dogs and all animals in general. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He belonged to the Fort Wayne Beagle Club and he enjoyed watching NASCAR and football. Charles was born on January 30, 1934, the son of Francis and Virginia (Bickel) Shaw. He was united in marriage to Ruth VanMeter on December 18, 1976 in Roanoke. She preceded him in death on May 26, 2015. Survivors include two daughters: Jeanie (Gary) Payne of Markle; Evie (Mark) Keplinger of Andrews; two sons: Jeff (April) Shaw of Markle; Dave (Pat) Shaw of Bartlet, TN; a stepson: Jon Jernigan of Huntington; stepdaughter: Janet (Robert) Mangenelli of Huntington; two sisters: Jackie Ricke of Huntington; Bonnie Bunting of Huntington; 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Jack Shaw, Bill Shaw, Tom Shaw and a sister: Pat Converse. There will be no visitation or funeral service.
