She was a long time resident of Feasterville, Pa. Margaret was born on August 13th, 1936 in Philadelphia, PA , to parents, Joseph and Maria Wood. She graduated from John W Hallahan Girls Catholic High School Class of 1954. Margaret went on to establish a career as a Retail Office Manager, working for McCrory's for many years.
Margaret loved to travel with her husband Joe. They traveled to many states in the US including Canada, Nova Scotia, Bermuda and Ireland. She loved to go camping with her husband and children. She enjoyed playing games with her grandchildren including Bingo, Pokeno and card games. Occasionally she would play bingo with her church family and her senior center friends. She loved her shopping trips with her sister Joanne to the New Jersey Seashore. Spending time with friends at McDonalds was always enjoyable for her. She was famous for her cheese pie and strawberry preserve cookies that her family loved.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Joseph A. Donohue.
Margaret is survived by her two daughters; Jane Mieczkowski, Roseann Robinson and her husband Tim. Her sister Joanne Strenger and her husband Ted. She will be missed by her grandchildren Joey and Joel Mieczkowski, Danielle Robinson, Jennifer Miller and her husband Chase along with her great grandchildren Hailey, Aniyah, Jordyn and Serenity all of whom lovingly knew her as Nanny. She will be fondly remembered by her niece Amy Becton, her husband Steve and their four children, Mackenzie, Ethan, Luke and Ava as well as her nephew Mark and his wife Kim and daughter Amanda. There are many nieces and nephews from the Donohue family that will miss their Aunt Peg .
A viewing for Margaret will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Assumption BVM, 1900 Meadowbrook Road, Feasterville, Pennsylvania 19053. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 AM. A burial will occur immediately after mass at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 W County Line Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
