Socorro M. Sanchez of Tomball, Texas passed away on Wednesday June 1, 2022, at the age of 71. She was born on January 15, 1951 in Brownsville, TX. She grew up in Houston Texas where she married and started her family.
She had a love for the Lord and was a true believer in Christ Jesus. It was her faith that got her through to her eternal life where she is now reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her.
She is preceded in death by her father Juan C. Mendez, mother Celsa Berlanga, brother Armando Mendez, grandson Joshua Sanchez.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years Esteban G. Sanchez, Son Esteban M. Sanchez Jr. and his wife Lorenza R. Sanchez, Daughter Monica A. Vasquez and her husband Johnny Vasquez.
She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren Victoria Sanchez, Loraine Perez, Evelyn Galvan-Sanchez, Antonio Vasquez III, Elysia N. Cupp, Graciella Sanchez and Thomas Sanchez. Along with her 9 great grandchildren Neveaha, Elijah, Jayden, Ava, Johnny, Scarlett, Emelia, Angelo and Giovani. She is also survived by her nephew whom she raised as her own David Mendez.
She is also survived by her siblings Melva Perez, Sylvia Araujo, Mario Mendez, Enrique Mendez, Elsie Berlanga.
A visitation for Socorro will be held Friday, June 10, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338. A funeral service will occur Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm followed by a committal service from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm. A reception will follow Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the funeral home.
