Nancy Anderson Cook was born on November 27, 1940 in Baytown TX to parents, Howard Americus Anderson and Jeanne Pauline Richey. Nancy was preceded in rest by her parents, brother, Howard Americus Anderson, Jr, and granddaughter, Sarah. She is survived by sister, Virginia Sue Graham, husband, William Alvin Cook III, son, Bruce Collins and wife Stacy, daughter, Jeanne Caudle, daughter Wendy Rogers and husband Eugene, daughter Susan Cotham and husband Phil, son, Robert Collins, and son, Michael Collins and wife Amy. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, as well as 31 foster children.
Nancy and Bill Cook were married on July 30, 1982. They moved to Livingston in 1984 where they raised the children and foster children. Nancy enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, fishing, camping, driving her tractor, sewing, embroidery, and quilting. She operated a grooming shop and boarding kennel. Her toughest job was raising her husband, Bill. She loved children and enjoyed teaching them as well as loving them. She touched many lives.
The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday, May 11, 2021, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM and a Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at Spring Baptist Church at 633 E Louetta Rd, Spring TX 77373. There will be a meal for family and friends after the service. We will meet for a Graveside Service at 2:00 PM at Brookside Cemetery on 13747 Eastex Freeway Houston TX 77039.
