John Paul Swain passed away on June 8, 2015, at the age of 65. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Pauline Swain. John will be forever missed by his wife, Laura Lee Swain, daughter and husband, Melissa and Josh Hoyt, son and wife, Mark and Melinda Swain, son Matthew Swain, grandson Garrett Swain and an expected grandson, granddaughters Meagan Gordon, Lauren Hoyt and Madison Swain, one great grandchild, William, brother and wife, Jim and Norma Swain, friends and neighbors.
John followed in his grandfather and father’s footsteps as third-generation railroad. He took leave from the railroad to fulfill his military service in the United States Army. After his return from service, John continued his railroad career with Southern Pacific Railroad until medically disabled in 2002.
Friends are cordially invited to visitation from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, June 10, 2015, and celebration of life at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 11, 2015, with interment immediately following.
