May 9th, 1971 – December 7th, 2021
On Tuesday, December 7, 2021 Jennifer Lynn Hunt (Pauls), loving wife, mother and step-mother passed peacefully with family at her side at the age of 50.
Born in Galveston, Texas the eldest of three sisters and raised in the League City and Clear Lake area, Jenny was a true Texas girl born on the Island, living on the water. With her bright blue eyes, infectious smile, deep enthusiastic curiosity and energy, she was the ultimate people person. In her early years after school she found a way to live out her dreams through Real Estate. She managed many apartment complexes which allowed her to be connected to a never-ending stream of people with whom she could engage, learn, connect with the Houston community and live out her dream of being successful by helping others to do the same.
Jenny met her true love and soul-mate, Chris; marrying on November 30th, 2001. Her dreams and influence on others always continued to grow. With the birth of her daughters, Ryleigh and Chloe, and her new step-children Shelley and Christopher she embarked on a remarkable journey as a wife and mother to fulfill her dreams by helping her family and the local community to achieve theirs. Life is never easy, but every step of the way, every bump in the road and with every success Jenny supported and loudly celebrated her family achieving their dreams. Keeping an unerring focus on the positive things in life, coaching everyone to be successful, cheering them on and ensuring that everyone knew that their dreams can always be bigger...and they can be achieved.
With this deep sense of family, she also treated Aunts and Uncles like Mothers and Fathers, Cousins or Friends like Brothers and Sisters...and Nieces and Nephews like Daughters and Sons. There was no extended family to Jenny...just family.
As well as building a home and growing her family, she threw herself into engaging in supporting the schools and all community activities she could manage. She has been well known and loved by everyone in activities such as Orchestra, Cross Country, Track, Dance, Swimming, Soccer, Drill Team...and more. She was an active Aggie Mom and intensely proud that both Ryleigh and Chloe are in the Texas A&M family. Jenny also leaves a legacy at schools such as Grand Oaks High School, College Park High School, York Junior High, Tom Cox Intermediate and Birnham Woods Elementary where she epitomized the “Room Mom” and worked tirelessly in the school’s parent organizations.
In the few hours left in a day, Jenny would always find time for art, the classics, musicals and many of the finer things in life. Her passion for experiencing life was endless.
She was preceded in death by her father David and her sister Kimberly and is survived by a world of close family.
Her essence can be understood through the quote “You’re off to great places. Today is your day. Your mountain is waiting. So get on your way.” – Dr. Seuss.
Heaven has a new Angel.
