Francisco Cantesano was born on May 18, 1941 and passed into his Father’s loving arms on April 19, 2024. Frank had three great loves in his life; God, his family, and soccer.
Francisco lived his life for soccer, his first great love until he met the love of his life, Martha. She showed him his love of God and a love he was destined to find. Frank served faithfully as a servant for 31 years as a deacon, a priest, and as a rector; el Pastor as he was known even till his last day.
Francisco loved his family so much! He met the love of his life at a button factory in Argentina and from that moment he was smitten. But their path was not going to be easy, they were meant to find each other and move to America so their family could be completed. Frank was willing to do whatever he needed to support his family. He worked many jobs, oft times two or three at a time, one was at the Waldorf Historia to provide for his budding family.
Francisco and Martha were complete when they welcomed their daughter and son; Gisele and Gerald. They made their home a bethany for all. Frank was known as el Pastor because he was a true and humble servant of God and loved all God’s children.
To his family he is faithful, strong, loving, funny, and forever the constant. Always willing to kick a ball with any of his grandkids who would join him.
Frank loved soccer; his profession was to play soccer but the Lord chose him as his servant. A new calling he never asked for but never regretted. That began a path of faith, love, family, and service. We are so honored as his family to call him ours and for his example. Servant; a wonderful, kind, humble, and gracious servant is how he lived.
The ball is there, he has it in his sight. He knows it’s coming, he knows it’s his. He dribbles it from one foot to the other, back and forth to make sure he has the right moment. With a heavy breath out he hits it, straight in, right dead center and without a chance from opposition. GOAL!!! Francisco Cantesano you finally kicked your final goal, the one you’ve been waiting for. DALE!!!!
As your family we can only say DALE FRANCISCO!!! Well Done thou Good and Faithful Servant. Well done thou good and faithful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather.
