Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 28 2022 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 21723 Aldine Westfield Rd, Humble, TX. Chaplain Debra Morwood will officiate. Burial will take place following the funeral at Calvary Hill Cemetery. A visitation from 11:00 a.m-12:00 p.m. will be held prior to the service at the funeral home.
Erika was born in Nuremburg, Germany on March 14, 1959 to parents Herman Dale and Frieda Christiana Spitler. When Erika was young her father passed away and she was raised by her mom Frieda and her “daddy” Steve B. Dezso.
On April 24, 1982 Erika married Richard May in Alvin, Texas, he survives. Also surviving is her mother Frieda, her daddy Steve B. Dezso and her brother Steve Dezso and his wife Tonya, son Nicholas and daughter Natalie.
Her surviving children are Nicole Christiana Lovell, Mary Elizabeth May, Richard Lee May Jr. and Robert Nathen May.
She is survived by ten grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Erika’s favorite hobby was creating beautiful and unique things with arts and crafts for her family and friends. She continued to amaze everyone with her talent, her quick wit and her brilliant mind.
The world is a better place because she was her and she will be missed by all that knew her.
