Elijah Raekwon Brown

Elijah R. Brown son of Graylon Brown Jr and Erica Madison was born on June 8, 2002 in Chicago, IL. He was born in Chicago, but grew up in Des Moines, IA where he created his childhood memories. His moms side of the family called him Nuggy but everyone else called him EB. He later relocated to Springfield, IL and Houston, TX where he created more memories with his dad, mom, sisters, brothers, and uncle. He attended the public schools in Des Moines, IA and Springfield, IL.

Elijah played several sports in school and one of his favorites was Track & Field. He was apart of the Johnston Running Club from 2013-2016 where he competed and won numerous medals while participating in the AAU and USATF State, Regional and Nationals meets. He also worked at fast food restaurants and assisted his mom with their cleaning business. He also enjoyed writing freestyles and rapping.

Elijah had a good heart and was a good person, he loved his family and meant well. He was loving, caring, outgoing, and an outspoken young man. His sense of humor left all who met him filled with laughter & joy. Elijah departed this early life on Sunday, October 24, 2021. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Eva Brown, grandfather and grandmother, Jerry and Katie Madison and uncle Reggie Madison.

His beautiful and loving soul will forever be cherished in the lives of his family members: father and mother, Graylon Brown Jr and Erica Madison, grandfather Graylon Brown (Myrna), three sister's Katelyn, Caria, and De Arie, two brother’s, Graylon II and Samir, one stepbrother DeShawn Jr, five aunts, Sherry, Marlena, Viviane, Elisa, and Tanisha, three uncles Jerry Jr, Marcus and Laroy, and two nephews; and a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
