Diane Marie Smith

A visitation for Diane will be held Sunday, February 20, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338. A graveside service will occur Monday, February 21, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338.

Diane was born November 20, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to parents Ralph and Clara Beeson. They preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her sister, Lois.

On November 22, 1960 Diane married the love of her life, Chuck Smith, in Los Angeles, California. He precedes her in death September 19th, 2021. Surviving are their children; Kathy Peterson, Debbie (Michael) Gallagher and Eric (Becky) Smith. Their grandchildren; Patrick (Rachel) Gallagher, Jon (Lainee) Gallagher, Kasey (Basem Shebl) Gallagher, Taylor (Jon) Pierpoline, Taylor Rouse, Zachary Smith, and five great grandchildren.

Diane graduated college early, was once a member of MENSA, and pursued a career in accounting. Her passions included sewing, making blankets and clothing for family, teaching kids how to sew, cook and making her home a haven for all friends and family. Her greatest treasure was to spend time with family, particularly being called "MawMaw" by her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
