Robert Lee Souza

Robert Lee Souza was born on September 14, 1931 in Patterson, CA and passed away peacefully February 8, 2016 in Turlock, CA. Robert served honorably in the United States Army and he received several commendations during his service to his country including the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Robert was a dairyman for 20 plus years and also worked at Stanislaus foods as a supervisor for 36 years and 8 of those years did both jobs. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 3199, The Old Fisherman’s club, and a longtime member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Ceres, CA. He enjoyed camping with his RV club, The Ghost Riders and also fishing with his family.

Robert is survived by his Wife Alice Souza of Ceres, CA. Daughter, Carol Ann Fayad and her Husband John Fayad of Ceres, CA. Son Michael Souza and his Wife Sheri Souza of Ceres, CA, Sister Angie Brawley, Brother John (Connie) Souza, and Sister-in-law Barbara Amaral. He is preceded in death by his Son Thomas. Robert, was blessed with many Grandchildren, Matthew and Nancy Souza, Ryan Souza (Amy), Joshua and Krystle Steeley, Nicholas Steeley (Stephanie), Brandon and Annie Moring, Jeff and Nina Moring, Ashley Moring (Brett), Ricky Fayad (Sarah) and Tiffannie and Jonny Raney and 10 Great Grandchildren. Robert will be greatly missed by his wife and children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also touched the lives of friends and will be missed by many.
