Ramona Belle Anderson

Ramona Belle Anderson, 86, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, Born on April 10, 1938, in Pottawattamie County, Iowa, Ramona lived a rich life in love and connection. Known for her friendly and caring nature, she made friends wherever she went, treating every stranger as a potential friend.

A beloved Girl Scout leader, Ramona cherished summers spent at the lake, ensuring the campground was always organized and clean. She loved hosting her annual Christmas decorating parties and lively Easter egg hunts that included adults, celebrating her passion and togetherness. Ramona married Donald Roy Anderson on March 12, 1954, and they shared many years until their divorce on March 11, 1977. Later, she found the love of her life, Kenneth Ray Mathews. They enjoyed many happy years together before marrying on April 14, 2012, until Kenneth’s passing on March 19, 2019. She left behind children, Donald “Andy” Anderson (deceased), Debra Nard and Samuel Anderson, daughter-in-law Keely Anderson, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, step-children and step-grandchildren, and loving nephew/son Gene Geary (and spouse).

Ramona will be remembered for her warm spirit, kindness, and the love she shared with her family.

A graveside funeral will be conducted on October 11, 2024, at 10:00 am @ Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson CA 95326.
