Laura Lynne Rogers-Isaac

Laura and her family spent her formative years in Millbrae, California. Her mother, Judy Boyd, and stepfather, Dale Boyd, were loving parents to Laura, and ensured she had a memorable childhood. She greatly loved her mother, and she considered Dale the best father ever. After graduating from high school, she was eager to enter the work force. She held a number of jobs early on, but she found her true calling, when, in 1995, she began her career working with Ferry Morse Seed Company, in Modesto, as the Product Development Assistant. Over the next 18 years, as Ferry Morse became Harris Moran and eventually, HM Clause, Laura progressed in the company and held several roles. Those roles included the PD/PM System Administrator, Product Information Manager, and Sales and Marketing Data Planner. In 2013, the Data Management team was re-organized, and Laura assumed the role of Master Data Administrator, where she oversaw the management of all technical data used by the Sales and Marketing teams. Those who were privileged to work closely with Laura over the years know that she had a strong work ethic, with close attention to quality and detail. Therefore, it is not surprising that during her time at HM Clause, she was the recipient of several awards and accolades. In 2002, she was nominated for Best Commercial Spirit, as part of the Agora Challenge. Additionally, she was recognized for being helpful, a keeper of the rules, and having a heart of gold, with a low tolerance for mediocrity. In 2008, she won the Employee of the Quarter award in recognition of her high performance and business standards excellence.

In addition to her official roles within the company, Laura also served as the unofficial “mama bear” of the marketing teams, often calling her colleagues to check in on them, and ensured that new hires felt welcomed and included. She was well-loved by so many across the company, which is not surprising considering her warm, supportive, and positive disposition. Also, Laura was well known for her infectious laugh and fantastic sense of humor, leaving many with beautiful memories of times spent laughing together. She influenced many of her colleagues and friends to be the best person they can be and will be greatly missed by many.

Throughout the journey of her cancer diagnosis and years-long battle, Laura maintained a staunchly positive attitude. She remained steadfast in her support of her loved ones, and her dedication to her work and colleagues. Earlier this year, she had the opportunity to participate in a program with Stanford, entitled, “Women, Living with Cancer.” In Laura’s own words: “If you just live every day to the fullest, that’s what everybody should be doing… think about today.”

Laura’s proudest accomplishment and endearing joy was having her daughter Nichole and seeing her blossom into a wonderful woman: as daughter, wife, mother, and friend. She was devoted to and supportive of her mother, Judy, her Auntie Gina, who loved her like her own, and her son-in-law, Ervin, who was the son she never had. She had a special place in her heart for her “adopted granddaughter” Vanessa. She doted on her grandsons Boyd and Byron, as only a wonderful “Gammy” could, and hoped beyond hope that she would meet her third grandson, Brody. Although she was not able to be here for Brody’s birth, she is undoubtedly smiling upon him from above.

Laura was pre-deceased by her loving stepfather Dale, in 2005. She leaves behind her mother, Judy Boyd, daughter Nichole Armas, son-in-law Ervin Armas, her grandchildren, and Auntie Gina Husby.

Whenever we think of Laura, we will remember her boisterous, infectious laugh, her warm smile, and her many kindnesses. Laura, we love you and will miss you always.

A service for Laura will be held on November 11, 2022, at Lakewood Funeral Home, Heritage Chapel at 10:30am. Reception to follow at The Fruit yard.
