Joyce, born and raised in Fresno Ca. and moved to Modesto in 1970 with her husband and 2 children. She graduated in 1960 from Fresno Union Academy and worked for Longs drugs for 30 years.
Joyce also volunteered at Memorial Hospital for 2 years and enjoyed spending hours in her yard as well as playing slot machines, Mexico vacations and road trips with her husband.
Her yearly vacations with friends Sandy, Verda, Jeanetta, Lou, and Vicky were always fun.
She loved outings, trips, concerts, and camping with her 2 children and husband as there was always lots of laughter. Joyce is survived by her husband Jack, daughter Dana (Cliff) Tallent, and son Leonard (Sheila) Pules, and two grandchildren Mindy and Dillon Tallent, of Modesto.
Preceded in death by her parents George and Lucy Christian and brothers Jerry and Jay Christian.
Remembrances can be made to Community Hospice.
Serving as pallbearers are Leonard Pules, Cliff Tallent , Dillon Tallent , Roy Pigeon, Burt Xavier and Gordon Zimmerman.
