Jack's story began with his service in the Marine Corps, a testament to his dedication and love for his country. After his military service, he pursued higher education at UCLA, majoring in engineering. His academic pursuits laid a strong foundation for a career that saw him excel in various fields.
Jack's professional journey started with Gutaman Corp, but his entrepreneurial spirit soon led him to new horizons. He became the owner of Broadway Toyota in Oakland and in 1979, opened an Auto Center in Modesto. His ventures didn't stop there; he also owned McHenry Auto Sales in Modesto, becoming a respected figure in the local automotive field.
Jack's passion for cars extended beyond his business endeavors. He was a true "car guy," owning several award-winning custom classic cars. His love for speed and adventure was evident, whether it was cars, boats, or motorcycles. Jack's zest for life was infectious, inspiring those around him to embrace their passions with the same fervor.
But Jack was more than just his professional accomplishments and hobbies. He was an avid waterskier and enjoyed the serenity of hunting and fishing trips with his family, he was also a tennis enthusiastic and playing with his sons Rob and John was absolutely something he enjoyed. These activities were more than pastimes; they were moments of connection and joy that he cherished deeply.
Jack's personal life was equally rich. He was a devoted husband to his beautiful wife, Kathleen, and a loving father to his children: John, Robert, Tracy and Roxanne, and he faced the heart-wrenching loss of his oldest daughter, Cheriese in 2017, his love for his family remained a cornerstone of his life. Jack is also survived by his sisters, Pat and Marilyn, who held a special place in his heart.
Jack Towner led a beautiful and full life, one that left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His legacy is one of courage, passion, and unwavering love for his family and friends. As we remember Jack today, let us celebrate the remarkable journey he undertook and the incredible person he was.
