James Alec Wysong, beloved spouse and best friend, laid down his mortal body in Ceres, California, after a 4 year battle with cancer and started his glorious new life in our loving heavenly Father's Kingdom on September 5, 2012. Surrounded by his loving spouse, William Myrick Teaney and their adoring and ever loving pet's Aphaia, Hadrian, Arabella, Ernest, Smokey, Cecily and Mr. Turtle. James was born on September 3, 1952 in Portland, Oregon to Dr. John Wysong and Kathleen Forsythe Wysong, both natives of Portland, Oregon, as well. While an infant the family relocated to Anderson, Indiana and Finally to Annapolis, Maryland where he grew up. James graduated from Annapolis High School in 1970. When he graduated he had 2 goals: to be a rock-star or to be a pilot. After playing in the rock bands he decided that he was not going to make it "BIG", so he went to the next goal, a pilot. He joined the U.S. Navy and went into the Pilot Training Program. He made it and then at the last minute they discovered he had an inner ear problem and disqualified him. James was a very good musician and was trained classically on the piano. After high school he joined a rock and roll band where he was the keyboardist. James enlisted in the navy in 1972 and was stationed in Jacksonville, Florida and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, being discharged in 1975. James was a graduate of the University of Maryland. James had many interesting occupations over the years, his last being an Interstate Truck Driver, which he loved dearly. James had many passions in his life: The Beatles, Rock-in-Roll, Mozart, Bach and Paul McCartney. He followed many of Paul's concerts in England and Wales. James really loved international travel and we had just recently completed a wonderful trip to Australia and had many memorable experiences. But above all, James reserved his most passion for the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ. James was saved as a child and never left the church or God's loving embrace and is now with Him forever more. James and William were married in San Francisco, California, on May 21, 1994 and again in Copenhagen, Denmark on July 8, 1994 and have been together for eighteen and a half years and will be sorely missed by his bereaved soul mate. He was also a proud member of the VFW, American Legion and ASPCA. James is survived by his grieving spouse William Teaney, 7 sisters: Linda Wysong of Portland, OR., Ellen (Paul) Spicknall of Annapolis, MD., Rebecka (Paul) Holland of Annapolis, MD., Ingrid Wysong (Steven Lundy) of Tokyo, Japan, Miriam Huntsman of Warrenton, OR., Jennifer Spencer-Iiams (Carl) of Portland, OR., and Bonnie Passquarelli (Jeffery Desler) of Portland, OR.
