Willie Warzell Carr Jr., 80, passed away on April 10, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Born on January 23, 1945, in Lovelady, Texas, he lived a full and vibrant life rooted in family, hard work, and a deep love for animals.
Willie was the beloved son of Alice Brown-Gage and Willie Warzell Carr Sr., and was raised by his devoted stepfather, Lonnie C. Gage. Throughout his life, Willie remained closely connected to his large and loving family. He shared seven children with Patricia Ann Brown: Paul Brown (Angela), Gary Brown (Latisha), Terry Brown, Cassandra Carr, Willie Carr III, Sharon Carr-Pate (Abram), and Darrell Carr. His legacy continues through 22 grandchildren and an ever-growing lineage that includes 29 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and cherished bonus children who were embraced as part of his extended family.

Later in life, Willie found companionship and care in his marriage to Deetta Morrison. Her unwavering support through his times of illness was a testament to their bond and her devotion.
Known for his strong work ethic and adventurous spirit, Willie found joy in driving buses - a profession that allowed him to connect with people from all walks of life while doing something he loved. He also had a passion for fishing and traveling - activities that brought him peace and fulfillment. But perhaps nothing brought him more joy than caring for animals. His love for pets was well known among those close to him; they were not just companions, but members of the family.
Family was at the heart of everything Willie did. Whether gathering for celebrations or offering support during difficult times, he believed deeply in the strength of familial bonds. His home was always open to loved ones - blood-related or chosen - and he took pride in being a guiding presence across generations.
