William “Bill” Lee Tolbert, Sr., was born in Pineville, LA on June 6, 1940 to Joseph Tolbert & Lou Bency Strother & went to be with the Lord May 14, 2012. He is preceded in death by his son, Jerriet Lewis Tolbert, sisters, Lilly May Tolbert & Clara Crooks; grandson, Tyler Isaacks; stepfather, Jack Hall. Bill went to Oak Hill High School in Oak Hill, LA & then went on a basketball scholarship to North Western State University. He worked for Maxwell House Coffee from 1969- 2001 & Harris County Constable serving under Walter Rankin & Jack Abercia from 1965-until his passing. He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Tolbert of New Caney; mother of his children, Shirley Ann Tolbert of Porter; precious children & stepchildren: William Lee & Dawn Tolbert of Huntsville, David & Chemene Hubbard of New Caney, Virginia & Steve Belto of New Caney, Sylva Charissee Haley of Porter, Rachel Lucinda Isaacks of Humble, Sharlene Annette & Lance Barnett of Mt. Belvieu, Jason & Dr. Kelly Thomas Hubbard of Kingwood; DeeDee Lynette & Kevin Conn of Montgomery; grandchildren: Nicholas , Brandon, Savannah & Samantha Tolbert, Cristina, Trey & Kaden Hubbard, Eric (Amanda) & Sarah Natalie, Grant (Suellen), Garrett & Gwendolyn Haley, Erika (Robert Curtis), Tommy Isaacks, Taylor & Paige Barnett, Emily, Jason Jr. & Kaylee Hubbard, Cody & Kelsie Conn; great grandchildren: Riley, Bryson & Brayden Curtis, Jenna & Tyson Haley; siblings: Lewis & Rosa of Katy, Mary Jean & Buddy Yuen of Boise, ID., Myrtle & Jerry Lee of Grangerland, Orean & Johnny Jones of Tomball; along with other loving relatives & friends. Visitation will be from 6-8pm, Thursday, May 17th at Brookside Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10am, Friday, May 18th at Friendship United Methodist Church: 22388 Ford Rd., Porter, TX. 77365. Interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Friendship United Methodist Church Food Pantry.
