William Donald Smith Sr., age 68, of Houston, Texas passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022. He was born in Wichita, Kansas on February 10, 1954 to parents Billy Don and Esther Smith. William graduated from Sam Houston High School. He met Angela in Houston, Texas and married on July 29, 1982. William’s early years he was a proud delivery driver for Mrs. Baird’s bread and Frito-Lay, he then went on to becoming entrepreneur developing Smith Mobile Home Parks. William had a big heart and had a passion for family and friends. His motto was “Money is just a tool.”
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Angela; father Billy Don; mother Esther; brother Michael Smith.
William is survived by his children Shaunda, William Jr., and Shawn; grandchildren Shauna, Christina, Christopher, William III and Cody Don, Heather, Kylie and Shawn Jr.; siblings Nathan, James, Virginia and Gloria; along with numerous great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers John Smith, William Smith III, Gary Sube, Roger Poullard, David Cunningham, Francisco Cerda, Rick Nelson, Shawn Smith Jr., Devin Lewis.
A visitation for William will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A committal service will occur Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
